What is GoByMeds?
GoByMeds is an online platform run by Goby Health LLC, based in Dover, Delaware. GoByMeds itself does not prescribe. Licensed clinicians from Beluga Health, P.A. or CareValidate, Inc. review your visit and decide on treatment.
For weight loss, GoByMeds sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide shots. It also offers brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound at a cash price.
Compounded medicine is made by a compounding pharmacy for one patient's prescription. It is not the same as Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound, or Mounjaro. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not check them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are sold.
Here is how it works, per GoByMeds:
- Answer an online health form and upload a photo ID.
- A licensed provider reviews it, usually within one business day. There is no video call unless your provider or your state requires one.
- No lab work is required for weight-loss plans, though your provider may ask for recent results.
- Your medicine ships cold-packed from a licensed U.S. pharmacy. GoByMeds says it typically arrives in 2 to 5 business days.
GoByMeds does not name the pharmacy that makes its compounded medicine.
The right GLP-1 path isn't the same for everyone. It depends on your state, insurance, budget, whether you want FDA-approved or compounded medicine, and whether you want a shot or a pill. Our free tool can show you which fits before you choose.

GoByMeds sells bundles, paid once per order. The first order is a 12-week starter bundle. After that, the price depends on the dose you reach.
Compounded semaglutide
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 12-week starter bundle | $299 (about $99 a month) | For first-time patients, starts at the lowest dose |
| 8-week bundle | $299 | Any dose |
| 12-week bundle, maintenance dose (0.2 to 0.4 mg) | $299 | |
| 12-week bundle, up to 1.5 mg | $399 | |
| 12-week bundle, 1.9 to 2.3 mg | $499 | |
| Single month | $169 | Any dose |
Compounded tirzepatide
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 12-week starter bundle | $399 (about $133 a month) | For first-time patients |
| 12-week bundle, maintenance dose (1.5 to 3 mg) | $399 | |
| 12-week bundle, up to 9 mg a week | $499 | |
| 12-week bundle, 11 mg a week or more | $599 | |
| Single month | $299 | Any dose |
Every plan includes the online visit, provider follow-ups, an injection kit (syringes and alcohol swabs), and free cold shipping. GoByMeds also gives loyalty credit of $15 to $30 toward your next order.
What the first 24 weeks cost
The $99 a month number only covers the starter bundle. Here is a more honest look at your first two orders.
| If you take... | First 24 weeks |
|---|---|
| Semaglutide: starter, then a 12-week bundle up to 1.5 mg | $299 + $399 = $698 |
| Tirzepatide: starter, then a 12-week bundle up to 9 mg | $399 + $499 = $898 |
Your provider decides your dose, so your real cost may be lower or higher.
Brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound
GoByMeds lists Wegovy at $1,695 a month and Zepbound at $1,399 a month. Those are close to list price. You can get the same FDA-approved brand-name medicines for much less elsewhere. On October 29, 2026, Ro's pricing page listed Zepbound from $299 a month at the 2.5 mg dose and the Wegovy pen from $199 a month at the starting doses, plus Ro's membership. See our guides to Zepbound cost without insurance and Wegovy cost without insurance.
Want FDA-approved brand-name medicine? Ro is our top pick for brand-name GLP-1s. Its membership is $39 for the first month, then $149 a month, or as low as $74 a month on a prepaid yearly plan. The medicine is billed on top of that.

If you are open to compounded medicine, Embody is our top pick. On October 29, 2026, its storefront listed compounded semaglutide at $79 for one month and compounded tirzepatide at $129 for one month, with no membership fee. Embody was running a site-wide sale, so confirm the price at checkout. See Embody GLP-1 cost.

We checked the public review sites on October 29, 2026. We do not add or invent reviews.
| Source | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Trustpilot | 4.5 out of 5 from about 1,231 reviews. 83% are 5 stars and 6% are 1 star |
| Better Business Bureau | Rating of F. Not accredited. 5 complaints, 4 with no response from the company |
| LegitScript | GoByMeds' site says it is LegitScript certified |
Trustpilot notes that GoByMeds invites customers to leave reviews and has replied to 99% of negative reviews. GoByMeds also sells testosterone, hair-loss, and other treatments, so not every review is about weight loss.
The common themes in Trustpilot's own summary of recent reviews:
- Praise: Easy online ordering, fast delivery, cold packaging, and helpful support.
- Concerns: Doubts about how well the medicine worked and about dose consistency.
Why the BBB F matters. The BBB says the F is because GoByMeds did not respond to 4 of the 5 complaints filed. It is not a safety rating. But it does tell you how complaints may be handled if something goes wrong.
What's the catch? The fine print
We read GoByMeds' terms of service on October 29, 2026. These are the rules most likely to cost you money.
| Topic | What the terms say |
|---|---|
| Billing | One payment per order. No subscription, membership, or auto-renewal |
| Not approved | If the provider doesn't prescribe, you get a full refund (lab fees, if any, are not refunded) |
| Canceling before review | Full refund if clinical review has not started |
| Canceling after review | GoByMeds may keep a $50 consultation fee |
| After the pharmacy starts | Dispensed or shipped medicine generally can't be canceled, returned, or refunded |
| Lost or stolen packages | If tracking shows delivered, refunds or replacements are generally not available |
| Disputes | Binding arbitration and no class actions. You can opt out within 30 days by emailing legal@gobymeds.com |
| Support | Chat, email (customersupport@gobymeds.com), or phone (+1 866 785 9869) |
Our tip: Be home for the delivery. Your medicine needs to stay cold, and a package that sits in the heat may not be replaced.
Does GoByMeds take insurance?
No. GoByMeds does not bill insurance. You pay the listed price.
You can use an HSA or FSA card at checkout. GoByMeds says it can provide a letter of medical necessity if your plan asks for one. Ask your plan what it covers before you pay.
Want help using your insurance? Ro's insurance team checks your coverage and submits prior authorization paperwork for FDA-approved brand-name medicine. (A prior authorization is your insurer's approval before it will pay.) More options: GLP-1 providers that accept insurance.

We rank providers on six criteria. Commission never changes a ranking. This is our judgment from public facts, not a score.
| Criterion (weight) | How GoByMeds does | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing transparency (25%) | Strong | Every bundle price is posted, with no membership. The $99 a month figure is only the starter |
| Clinical oversight (20%) | Fair | Named medical groups review each visit. No video call or labs by default |
| Medication access and pharmacy (20%) | Fair | Compounded and brand-name options. Pharmacy is not named |
| Insurance support (15%) | Weak | No insurance billing |
| Cancellation and refunds (10%) | Mixed | Nothing auto-renews. Medicine is final sale once dispensed, and a $50 fee may apply |
| Experience and support (10%) | Mixed | Strong Trustpilot score. BBB F for unanswered complaints |

Is GoByMeds legit?
Yes, in the sense that it is a real company with named medical groups, posted prices, and clear terms. Its site says it is LegitScript certified. The weak spots are an unnamed pharmacy, an F from the BBB, and strict refund rules once your medicine is made.
GoByMeds fits you if you:
- Want compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide with no membership and nothing that auto-renews.
- Are fine paying for 12 weeks up front.
- Want to pay with an HSA or FSA card.
Look elsewhere if you:
- Want brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound. Its brand prices are close to list price.
- Want insurance to help pay.
- Want to know which pharmacy makes your medicine.
- Want the lowest price for a single month.
Who should talk to a doctor first?
See your own doctor before using any online GLP-1 program if you:
- Are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- Have had medullary thyroid cancer, MEN 2, or pancreatitis.
- Take insulin or other diabetes medicines.
- Have kidney disease or a history of an eating disorder.
A licensed clinician decides if any GLP-1 is right for you. No program guarantees a prescription.
