Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

How we handle health-related information you share with our calculators and quizzes — required disclosures under the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar state laws.

Last updated: May 3, 2026

This policy describes how Weight Loss Provider Guide ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects "consumer health data" as that term is defined under the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), the Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Law (SB370), and the Connecticut Health Data Act. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.

1. What consumer health data we collect

When you use any of our interactive tools — including the BMI calculator, eligibility quiz, GLP-1 SOS triage tool, protein calculator, and cost calculators — you may enter information that qualifies as consumer health data. This can include:

  • Body weight and height, and the BMI calculated from them
  • Whether you are taking, have taken, or are interested in a specific medication (such as semaglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, or compounded versions)
  • Self-reported symptoms (for example, side effects you describe to the SOS triage tool)
  • Self-reported comorbidities or health conditions you provide to the eligibility quiz
  • Bodily-function data (for example, dosing schedule or injection site)

2. How your inputs are processed

The values you enter into our tools are processed in your browser to generate your result on the same page. We do not transmit your specific weight, height, BMI, symptom selections, or medication selections to our servers, and we do not store them in any database that identifies you personally.

We may collect aggregate, non-identifying analytics about tool usage (for example, the percentage of visitors who reach the result screen, or the total number of times the BMI calculator was used in a month) to improve the tools. This aggregate analytics never contains your specific inputs.

3. How we share consumer health data

We do not sell, lease, rent, or share consumer health data with any third party for advertising, marketing, profiling, or commercial purposes. Specifically:

  • We do not pass your inputs to any affiliate provider, advertiser, or data broker.
  • When you click a provider link from a tool result, we transmit only the click event itself (timestamp, source page) — never the values you entered.
  • Our Google Analytics 4 implementation uses IP anonymization and does not receive form-input values.
  • Our Microsoft Clarity session-replay implementation is configured to mask all input fields by default; what you type is never captured by the recording.

4. Consent

On any page that collects consumer health data, we display a consent banner requiring you to opt in before any analytics or session-replay tools run. If you decline, the analytics scripts do not load and no tracking occurs. You can change your decision at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in our footer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat it as a refusal of consent, in line with the California Attorney General's guidance.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data
  • Access a list of any third parties with whom we have shared your consumer health data (the list will always be empty for our site, because we do not share it)
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Request deletion of consumer health data we hold about you (because we do not store identifiable inputs, the only data subject to deletion is your aggregate page-view history in our analytics; we honor that request by setting your analytics consent to "denied" and signaling Google Analytics to delete your associated user ID)
  • Appeal any decision we make about your request

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Health Data Request." We will respond within 45 days.

6. Geofencing

Washington law (RCW 19.373.060) prohibits operating a geofence around a healthcare facility for the purpose of identifying, tracking, or sending advertisements to consumers based on their visit. We do not operate any geofence around any healthcare facility, pharmacy, telehealth office, or other in-person care location.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for all pages. Because consumer health data is processed in your browser and not stored on our servers, the primary security risk surface is your own device. We recommend using a current browser and not entering sensitive information on shared computers.

8. Children

Our site is not intended for users under 18, and we do not knowingly collect consumer health data from minors. If you believe a minor has used one of our tools, contact us and we will help confirm that no identifying record exists.

9. Changes to this policy

When we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for changes that affect how consumer health data is shared, post a notice on the home page for at least 30 days.
