This privacy policy explains how Weight Loss Provider Guide ("we," "us," "our") handles personal information collected through weightlossproviderguide.com. For health-related information you enter into our calculators or quizzes, see our dedicated Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. 1. Notice at collection
The categories of personal information we collect, the purpose, and how long we retain each:

2. Sources of information
- Directly from you — when you use a calculator, quiz, or contact form.
- Automatically from your browser — IP address, user agent, referrer, page views.
- From our service providers — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity send back aggregated reports about site usage.
3. Third parties we share with
We do not sell personal information for money. We share limited data with these service providers:
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-PLCCMFSPWE) and AdSense (currently not active). IP anonymization is on. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity session-replay (project ID vgu0ugbx0p). All form input fields are masked by default; what you type is never recorded. Microsoft's privacy policy: privacy.microsoft.com.
- Affiliate partners — when you click an affiliate link, the destination provider sets a cookie or query parameter so they can attribute the referral to us. We do not transmit calculator inputs, quiz answers, or any other content from your visit.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — Replit (application hosting) and Cloudflare (CDN / edge caching). They process request metadata but do not access user data beyond what is required to serve the site.
4. Cookies and tracking
Analytics scripts (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) are loaded only after you accept the consent banner that appears on your first visit. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal we treat it as a verified opt-out and never load the scripts. You can change your preference at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.
5. Your rights
California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Right to know what personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories shared.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — see Do Not Sell or Share.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

If you are a resident of one of these states, you have rights similar to the California rights above — including access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising or profiling. Washington, Nevada, Connecticut (consumer health data)

Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor GPC. If your browser sends the Sec-GPC: 1 header or sets navigator.globalPrivacyControl = true, we automatically treat that as a California "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out request and as a Colorado / Connecticut opt-out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data.
6. How long we keep information
Analytics data is retained for 26 months and then aggregated. Calculator and quiz inputs are not stored. Email sent to us through the contact form is retained as long as needed to respond and then archived per standard email retention.
7. Security
We serve all pages over HTTPS. Our analytics service providers (Google, Microsoft) are contractually obligated to maintain industry-standard security practices.
8. Children
Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If you believe a minor has used our site, contact us and we will help confirm no identifying record exists.
9. International users
The site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We are not actively marketed to or designed for residents of the EU/EEA or the UK and do not currently rely on any GDPR transfer mechanism. If you are an EU/EEA/UK resident and want your data deleted, contact us and we will honor the request.
10. Changes
We will update the "Last updated" date when we make material changes. For changes that affect what data is shared, we will post a banner on the home page for at least 30 days.
