How We Rank Providers

Our transparent methodology for evaluating and comparing GLP-1 medication providers.

Last updated: January 5, 2026

What "Ranking" Means on This Site

We publish side-by-side comparisons of GLP-1 telehealth programs to help readers understand differences in pricing, access, policies, and support. Our rankings reflect our editorial evaluation of published information and our verification process — not medical advice.

Baseline Requirements to Be Included

We only consider providers that, based on publicly available information, meet these baseline criteria:

  • Prescriptions are written by licensed clinicians
  • Medications are dispensed by licensed U.S. pharmacies (retail) or through regulated compounding pathways when applicable (e.g., 503A state-licensed pharmacies and/or 503B FDA-registered outsourcing facilities)
  • Pricing and key policies are publicly available or can be verified through official channels

Scoring Criteria (with Weights)

We score providers using the criteria below. Each category is scored and weighted to produce an overall ranking.

Scoring Scale (0-5)

Each category is scored from 0 to 5:

  • 5 = Excellent (clear, complete, and consistently verifiable)
  • 3 = Good/average (usable but with some gaps or friction)
  • 1 = Poor (unclear, restrictive, or difficult to verify)
  • 0 = Unverifiable or unacceptable for that category

Overall rankings are the weighted sum of category scores, normalized to a 0-100 scale.

1) Pricing Transparency (25%)

We look at total monthly cost, clarity of what's included (membership, consults, medication, shipping), and whether pricing is clearly published.

2) Clinical Oversight (20%)

We look for evidence of appropriate medical intake, contraindication screening, follow-up care, and access to clinical support.

3) Medication Access & Pharmacy Verification (20%)

We evaluate medication options (brand-name vs compounded where applicable), pharmacy licensing/credentials, and clarity about where medications are dispensed.

4) Insurance Support (15%)

We assess whether the provider offers help with prior authorization, documentation, and support for insurance-covered care where offered.

5) Cancellation & Refund Policies (10%)

We review how easy it is to cancel, whether terms are clear, and whether refund/commitment policies are reader-friendly.

6) User Experience & Support (10%)

We consider support responsiveness, ease of reaching help, and practical factors like refill coordination and shipping reliability when available.

What We Do NOT Use for Rankings

We do not rank providers based on:

  • Commission size
  • Unverified star ratings scraped from random sites
  • Marketing hype or artificial urgency tactics
  • Claims we cannot verify from official sources

How We Handle Missing or Unclear Information

We do not guess missing details. If a provider does not clearly disclose pricing, cancellation rules, or the medication pathway, that is a negative scoring factor and may result in exclusion.

Affiliate Relationships

Weight Loss Provider Guide earns commissions from some provider links. These relationships do not influence our rankings or editorial content. We evaluate all providers using the same criteria whether or not an affiliate relationship exists.

Commission rates vary between providers, but a higher commission does not result in a higher ranking. Our goal is to help you find the best provider for your needs, not to maximize our affiliate earnings.

How We Keep Rankings Current

Provider pricing and policies change frequently. We review and update our comparisons regularly and show a "last verified" or "last updated" date on key comparison pages.

How to Report an Issue

If you see outdated pricing or a policy change, email [email protected] with the page URL and details so we can verify and update.
