Does Hers Accept Affirm? No Direct Option — Here's What Works Instead

Does Hers accept Affirm? No direct Affirm option is publicly listed. Hers accepts major credit and debit cards and offers Klarna monthly financing when the selected treatment plan is eligible, but Hers does not publish a list of eligible plans.12

Here's what changes the answer. An Affirm Card runs on the Visa network, and Hers accepts Visa. A charge may process as an ordinary card purchase, but that is not the same as Hers accepting Affirm. Affirm requires a separate pay-over-time decision for each eligible Affirm Card purchase, so one approved charge does not automatically finance later membership or medication renewals.3

One more thing before you decide anything. Hers advertises medication from $149 a month, but medication is billed separately from a required membership that costs $39 for the first month and $149 every month after. For the lower-priced medication listings, the derived ongoing cash total runs $298 to $448 a month. Hers also currently lists Mounjaro and an additional Zepbound option at $1,899 medication-only, which produces a derived ongoing total of $2,048 a month with membership.45

Multiple public customer posts show the exact confusion this two-charge structure can create. It is not safe to assume two similar charges are duplicates, and it is not safe to assume they are both valid. Match each charge to the membership, medication order, pharmacy, and receipt before disputing or accepting it.67

If Affirm is a hard requirementHers is not the clean fit — compare verified alternatives

The honest limitation, up front: Hers does not publicly offer Affirm. Its own financing article documents Klarna monthly financing and does not document Klarna Pay in 4. If an actual Affirm option or a documented interest-free four-payment split is your non-negotiable, skip to the programs that publicly list Affirm and don't waste your time.2

But if you picked Hers because you want it — brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound, a name you recognize, a program your friend is on — and you just need a way to spread an eligible purchase over time, Klarna may solve it. The two verified alternatives in this page's Affirm table primarily offer compounded medication, which is a different regulatory category from Hers' FDA-approved brand options. That trade-off is real, and it's yours to make.

Does Hers accept Affirm directly?

No direct Hers–Affirm option is publicly documented. The Hims & Hers help center lists major cards processed through Stripe and Adyen, while a separate article confirms Klarna monthly financing on eligible treatment plans. Neither article lists Affirm.12

We want to show you exactly why websites get this wrong, because it tells you something useful about how much to trust what you read.

Hims & Hers runs one help center for both brands. Two articles matter here. They answer different pieces of the payment question, and the older general-payment article does not mention the newer financing option.

Read that again. The general card article is older and omits the company's documented financing route. The newer article contains the Klarna answer, but it sits on a separate support page and had only one recorded rating when we verified it.12

That source split helps explain why older comparisons and pay-anywhere directories produce contradictory answers. A lender or virtual-card directory can list a merchant without proving that the merchant placed that lender in its own checkout.

Three different claims people mix together

This is where almost everyone gets confused. These are not the same statement:

  1. “Hers accepts Affirm.” This would mean Hers publicly offers an Affirm option or identifies Affirm as an integrated checkout method. We found no first-party evidence of that.
  2. “An Affirm Card might work at Hers.” This means a charge might process as a Visa purchase. Possible. Not guaranteed. Not the same thing.
  3. “Affirm will finance my Hers subscription.” Affirm says each Affirm Card purchase needs its own pay-over-time application and approval. Even a successful first charge does not automatically create financing for every later renewal.3

Keeping these separate is the whole point. A card that runs on Visa is not a merchant partnership. The distinction changes how approvals, renewals, refunds, and account balances work.

An approved merchant refund still has to be processed and applied to the financing balance. That can take time. Do not assume a Hers cancellation instantly removes a lender balance.

If Affirm itself is the requirement, stop here

We'd rather lose you now than waste twenty minutes of your time.

When you need to see an actual Affirm option tied to the provider's offer, Hers is not the clean fit. Don't gamble on a card workaround behaving like a native integration. Jump straight to the programs that publicly list Affirm.

Still here? Good. Let's get you the whole picture.

What payment methods does Hers actually accept?

Hers accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover through Stripe and Adyen. It offers Klarna monthly financing when the selected treatment plan is eligible. The Weight Loss Membership is not insurance, and Hers recommends paying with a regular card and seeking HSA/FSA reimbursement when the expense qualifies under the reader's plan.1258

We graded every payment route by how strong the evidence is, so you can see what we checked and what remains unknown.

The Hers Payment Route Matrix

Our grading system:

  • Grade A — Hers or the payment company states it in first-party documentation
  • Grade B — No option appears in the first-party payment documents reviewed, but a live checkout could change
  • Grade C — Technically possible or claimed by a third party, but Hers does not guarantee it
  • Unverified — We could not confirm it, and we will not pretend otherwise

Why directory pages say Hers takes Affirm

Some BNPL apps offer a physical card, a one-time virtual card, or a pay-anywhere shopping flow. A directory can therefore show Hers as a place where a lender-issued Visa credential might be used without Hers ever adding that lender to its checkout.

It is not the same thing as native acceptance. And the difference matters more than it sounds:

  • Approval: the lender still decides whether that individual purchase qualifies
  • Refunds: an approved merchant refund must move back through the original payment route and be applied to the lender balance
  • Interest: the treatment of interest after a refund depends on the lender agreement
  • Recurring charges: a physical Affirm Card requires a new financing decision for each purchase; a one-time virtual card is not a reusable renewal credential
  • Separate transactions: Hers membership and medication can be separate subscriptions, and some medication billing may occur directly through Gifthealth rather than Hers8

This is the exact mix-up the matrix is designed to prevent. Now you know how to spot it anywhere.

Why you might see two $149 charges from Hers

The Hers Weight Loss Membership renews at $149 a month. Hers also currently lists the Wegovy Pill, Wegovy Pill Microdosing Plan, Foundayo Pill, and Ozempic Pill from $149 medication-only. Two $149 charges can therefore represent two separate obligations — one membership charge and one medication charge — rather than a duplicate. Only Hers, the pharmacy, or the payment party can confirm a specific statement.458

This is the single most useful connection on the page: the same $149 figure can represent two separate obligations.

Look at what Hers publishes:

The two possible $149 charges
The $149 you're looking atWhat it might actually be
Charge #1The recurring Hers Weight Loss Membership
Charge #2Medication at a $149 starting tier

Same amount. Related program. Different obligation.

This can happen when both charges land at $149 in the same billing cycle. The merchant descriptor may not always be identical, because Hers' terms say some manufacturer self-pay medication purchases, billing, and fulfillment can be conducted directly through Gifthealth.8

How to tell which charge is which

Before you call your bank, check these five things:

  1. The transaction description — membership, Hers medication, and Gifthealth medication may use different descriptors
  2. The order ID — open the “Orders” or subscription area in your account and match it
  3. The date — membership and medication can renew on separate schedules
  4. The receipt — download the available receipt and identify the item billed
  5. The lender app — confirm whether Klarna or another lender created a separate schedule for that exact transaction

Check the line items first, then contact Hers, Gifthealth when applicable, and the lender before disputing a charge. That gives each party a chance to match the transaction to the correct order without treating an unexplained charge as valid.

Why this matters even more if you finance

With Klarna, you may have three schedules to track: the membership renewal, the medication order, and the lender's payment dates. Some medication may also be billed by Gifthealth, which can add another merchant name even when the clinical program still runs through Hers.

We built a tool below that maps the dates and amounts in one place.

What Hers actually costs per month

Hers requires a Weight Loss Membership that costs $39 for the first month and $149 every month after, while medication is billed separately. At the current published starting prices, a derived first month runs from $188 to $1,938 and a derived ongoing month runs from $298 to $2,048. The amount due today can still differ because Hers says medication may be billed monthly or upfront depending on the plan.45

The medication headline does not add the separate membership. So here it is.

Membership for a full year = $39 + ($149 × 11) = $1,678. These are derived cash totals using Hers' listed starting medication price and a constant medication price for 12 months. Actual price, dose, billing interval, eligibility, taxes, pharmacy route, and time in treatment can differ. Medication is available only if prescribed. Ozempic and Mounjaro are FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes, not weight loss, and Hers says they are available only to clinically eligible patients.49

Four things jump out of that table.

First: at the $149 medication tier, the separate membership doubles the derived ongoing cash total. The medication card says “from $149/mo.” The recurring program total starts at $298 when the medication stays at that tier.

Second: on the $149 medication tier, nearly half the 12-month derived cash cost is membership. A year at the listed $149 medication price totals $3,466. Of that, $1,678 — about 48% — is membership. That may be worth it for the provider access, monthly check-ins, messaging, care-team support, and platform services Hers lists. But you should know what you're buying.8

Third: the $298-to-$448 range is not the entire formulary. It covers the lower current starting-price tiers. Hers also lists Mounjaro and another Zepbound option at $1,899 medication-only. A page that says Hers always costs no more than $448 a month is now wrong.4

Fourth: here's the derived first-90-day cash requirement if each listed price stays constant and the medication is actually billed monthly.

  • $149 medication tier: $784
  • $199 medication tier: $934
  • $299 medication tier: $1,234
  • $1,899 medication tier: $6,034

That's the number that helps decide whether you can start. Not the medication-only monthly headline.

The two charges, and which one you're financing

Hers bills the membership and medication separately. Its terms also say some prescriptions may be paid directly to Gifthealth. Hers says Klarna appears “if your selected treatment plan is eligible.” So the real question isn't only does Hers take Affirm. It's:

Which charge can I finance, which company will bill it, and does one approval cover anything after the first purchase?

Membership, Hers medication, and Gifthealth billing
The chargeWhat it isCancel it and…Can Klarna cover it?
Membership$39 first month, then $149/monthActive medication plan and platform care access also endNot publicly confirmed
Hers Medication Plan$149 to $1,899 at current listed starting pricesMembership remains active and keeps billing unless separately canceledNot publicly confirmed; selected-plan dependent
Gifthealth medication purchaseMedication billed directly by an independent third-party pharmacy when that route is usedGifthealth cancellation does not automatically cancel the Hers membershipNot publicly confirmed

We're leaving those cells marked “not publicly confirmed” on purpose. Hers' Klarna article does not say which line item receives financing, whether one application covers multiple transactions, or how later renewals are handled. We are not going to guess on a page about money.28

But notice the part we can confirm, straight from Hers' FAQ and terms: cancel the membership and the active medication plan ends with it. Cancel only the medication plan and the membership keeps billing. Cancel a Gifthealth medication subscription and the Hers membership still does not automatically end. If you're financing, you need to know which lever you're pulling.58

What is Klarna at Hers, exactly?

Hims & Hers publicly documents Klarna “Pay over time” as monthly financing issued by WebBank. It appears only when the selected treatment plan is eligible. Hers says you choose a timeline and complete the purchase at checkout, then receive the payment-plan email after the order ships. Its public article does not document Klarna Pay in 4.2

That distinction matters. The confirmation email arrives after shipment, but Hers says the payment option is selected and the purchase is completed at checkout. Do not submit the order unless the checkout itself shows the APR, down payment, number of payments, amount of each payment, and total repayment.

Affirm's current consumer disclosures say pay-over-time options range from 0% to 36% APR, Pay in 4 is 0% when offered, options vary by merchant and purchase, and a down payment may be required.3

Four phrases that mean four different things

This trips up almost everyone, so let's be precise:

  • Monthly price — a price expressed per month; it does not prove the card is charged monthly
  • Monthly billing — the merchant or pharmacy actually charges once each month
  • Financed monthly payment — a lender finances an eligible purchase and the customer repays the lender on a separate schedule
  • Prepaid plan — several months can be charged in one purchase even when the marketing expresses a monthly equivalent

Hers says medication can be billed monthly or upfront depending on the plan. A price shown “per month” is therefore not always the amount due that day. Hers' terms also say the first renewal may be charged early to prevent a treatment interruption and that later renewals or shipments may move up by as much as two days for holidays or operational reasons. That mismatch — and the possibility of an early renewal — is exactly why the amount and processing date need to be saved before checkout.5812

What “eligible plan” actually means

Hers says Klarna appears when the selected treatment plan is eligible. Hers does not publish which treatments, doses, states, billing intervals, or line items qualify.

We'll say it plainly: you won't know from the public pricing page. You need the actual payment screen. That's a real limitation and it's not fair to pretend otherwise.

Before accepting Klarna, capture:

  1. The cash price
  2. The amount due today
  3. The down payment
  4. The APR
  5. The number and amount of payments
  6. The total repayment
  7. The first lender due date
  8. The Hers membership renewal date
  9. The medication renewal or pharmacy date
  10. The cancellation and refund language
  11. Any notice that the first renewal or a later shipment may process early

Getting approved for money is not getting approved for medicine

This is the most important sentence in this section.

Klarna approving financing says nothing about whether a licensed provider will prescribe a GLP-1. Two different decisions. Two different decision-makers. One is a lending decision. The other is a clinical one.

Never treat financing approval as a sign you've been cleared for treatment.

Can I use an Affirm Card at Hers?

Possibly, but it is not a Hers–Affirm partnership and we could not verify it at Hers checkout. Hers accepts Visa, and Affirm's physical card and one-time virtual card both run on the Visa network. The physical Affirm Card still requires a separate pay-over-time application for each purchase, while the one-time virtual card is not a dependable credential for later renewals.13

Here's the honest reasoning, labeled as reasoning:

Hers may see a Visa credential. Affirm separately decides whether the particular purchase qualifies for a pay-over-time plan. When no plan is approved and matched to an Affirm Card purchase, Affirm says the purchase can be treated as pay in full and debited from the linked account. Hers is not participating as an Affirm merchant in that chain.3

Why it might not work the way you expect

  • Affirm availability and eligibility vary by merchant, purchase, and amount
  • Having purchasing power is not the same as approval for this purchase
  • A down payment may be required
  • The physical Affirm Card needs a new pay-over-time decision for each purchase
  • A one-time virtual card is not a reusable subscription credential
  • Membership, Hers Medication Plan, and Gifthealth medication can be separate transactions
  • A later renewal may process as pay in full, require another approval, or fail
  • Hers may require a valid reusable payment method for future charges

The renewal problem nobody mentions

This is the renewal problem that matters most.

Buying a couch is one transaction. A Hers weight-loss arrangement can involve a monthly membership, a separately renewing Medication Plan, or a third-party Gifthealth purchase. Even if an Affirm Card clears the first transaction, it does not automatically place every future charge on the same financing plan.

You could end up with medication financed one way and the $149 membership paid in full from the linked account. You could receive a new approval decision for the next transaction. You could also encounter a failed or unexpected renewal.

Marked for verification: we did not test the Affirm Card or one-time virtual card at Hers checkout, and we will not claim either route works until it is observed firsthand.

Before trying the workaround, do this first

  1. Ask Hers support whether Affirm Card transactions are accepted
  2. Ask Affirm whether the intended purchase is eligible
  3. Confirm whether the credential can remain on file for recurring merchant charges
  4. Identify whether membership and medication will be separate transactions
  5. Ask whether medication will be billed by Hers or Gifthealth
  6. Keep a normal backup card available
  7. Screenshot every approval, checkout, and renewal screen

Before you finance anything, check these two things

Two things can cut your cost more than a payment plan: insurance coverage and tax-advantaged dollars. Hers' Weight Loss Membership is cash pay, and its terms say Hims & Hers and the Medical Groups are not enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial payers. The terms add that some outside providers, pharmacies, or labs may be enrolled, but products and services accessed through the platform typically are not covered benefits. A covered prescription filled through an insurance-supported route may cost far less than financing a cash-pay membership plus medication.8

This section might cost us a click. We're including it anyway, because it's the best financial decision check on this page and you deserve to see it before you borrow.

Hers does not bill insurance for this program

Not “limited coverage.” The Weight Loss Membership is not insurance, and Hers' terms say Hims & Hers and the Medical Groups do not participate with federal, state, or commercial payers for these services. Some outside providers, pharmacies, or labs may have their own enrollment, but the terms say products and services accessed through the platform typically are not covered benefits. The Hers program itself is built as a cash-pay path.8

When your insurance covers a clinically appropriate GLP-1 elsewhere, your out-of-pocket cost could be a copay or coinsurance rather than the full cash price. Deductibles, prior authorization, formulary rules, and indication restrictions still matter, so verify the actual benefit rather than assuming coverage.

Check first. It takes a few minutes and can change the entire decision.

The HSA/FSA answer

Hers' own FAQ says an FSA/HSA card may work but can trigger extra documentation. Hers recommends using a regular credit or debit card and submitting the receipt for reimbursement. Eligibility and coverage vary by plan.5

That means three separate questions need answers:

  1. Is the particular expense eligible under your plan?
  2. Does your administrator accept the Hers or pharmacy receipt?
  3. Is direct card payment allowed, or should you pay normally and seek reimbursement?

When an expense qualifies, HSA/FSA reimbursement may let you use tax-advantaged funds instead of adding financing interest. Do not assume the membership, every medication, or every supporting service receives the same treatment under every plan.

What happens if you cancel while you're still paying?

Canceling Hers and changing a lender balance are two separate processes. Hers instructs customers to cancel at least 48 hours before the next order or billing date and says canceling does not stop an order already processing or shipped. A financing balance changes only after any approved merchant refund reaches the lender and the lender applies it.1682

This is where financing changes your risk, and you should read the whole section before you commit to a multi-month repayment schedule.

The 48-hour rule

Cancel at least 48 hours before your next order or billing date. An order already processing or shipped may not be stopped by canceling.

Put that date in your phone the day you sign up. Not later. The day you sign up.

Hers' terms also say an initial Medication Plan refund is available only when cancellation occurs within 48 hours of submitting payment information, and medication is not refundable after shipment. Read the terms tied to the exact purchase before relying on a refund.8

Two cancellations — sometimes three — and they're not the same

Straight from Hers' FAQ and terms:

  • Cancel your Hers Medication Plan → the $149/month membership remains active and keeps billing
  • Cancel your Hers Weight Loss Membership → the active Medication Plan and platform care access also end
  • Cancel a Gifthealth medication subscription → the Hers Weight Loss Membership does not automatically cancel

They're separate controls with potentially separate renewal dates. Canceling one thing is not proof that every related charge has stopped.58

Your lender agreement does not disappear because care stopped

Here's the chain:

  1. You enter a separate financing agreement for an eligible purchase
  2. Canceling a Hers subscription does not automatically erase that agreement
  3. Hers or the pharmacy must approve and process any refund that is actually available
  4. The lender must receive and apply that refund to the balance
  5. Until the lender confirms an adjustment, follow the lender's payment schedule

We're not going to promise you a refund. Nobody can do that without the exact checkout, shipment, cancellation, and lender facts.

What the FTC filed on July 29, 2026 — and why it matters here

We debated how much space to give this. Then we realized: when you are about to convert a purchase into a separate repayment obligation, billing disclosure and cancellation friction are directly relevant.

These are allegations in a pending case. No court has decided them. Hims & Hers denies them and says it will vigorously defend itself.1718

On July 29, 2026, the Federal Trade Commission — joined by Utah and California through Los Angeles County Counsel — filed a complaint against Hims & Hers Health, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The complaint alleges that the company:

  • Charges consumers for prescriptions soon after an intake is submitted despite statements that led consumers to expect a provider consultation first
  • Does not give most consumers the consultation they expected before charging and enrolling them in recurring treatment
  • Fails to disclose refill timing clearly enough for consumers to cancel before the next billing cycle
  • Made online cancellation difficult, including placing the cancellation route behind “add/remove items from order” and additional steps
  • Shared sensitive health information with advertising platforms including Meta and Snap despite privacy representations

The claims are brought under the FTC Act and the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act, along with Utah and California consumer-protection laws. The Commission vote authorizing the complaint was 2-0. The FTC itself notes that filing a complaint means it has reason to believe violations occurred; the case will be decided by the court.17

The complaint names Hims & Hers Health and addresses company/platform practices. It does not prove that every Hers weight-loss customer had the same checkout or cancellation experience.

Hims & Hers denies wrongdoing. The company says the lawsuit disregards substantial evidence it supplied during the investigation and that the claims are baseless.18

Why we're telling you this on a payment page

Because financing changes what happens if something goes wrong.

Pay month to month by card, and you can prevent future renewals by canceling before the applicable deadline. Finance a purchase, and a separate lender balance can remain even after care or medication stops. The pending federal complaint is specifically relevant because it alleges problems with billing disclosure and cancellation friction.

Finance and continue treatmentPayments continue under the agreementMembership and medication continue under their own termsInterest and separate renewal calendars may apply

None of this means don't use Hers. It means month-to-month card payment preserves more flexibility when you can afford it, and financing deserves a careful read of the full terms and a saved cancel-by date.

Is Hers still the right choice if you need a payment plan?

Hers can fit someone who specifically wants Hers, understands the separate membership and medication charges, and sees acceptable Klarna terms on an eligible plan. It is a poor fit when Affirm is mandatory, when a documented 0% Pay in 4 option is required, or when the full cash and financed totals do not fit the budget.

Before reading the table, pick the one thing that cannot move:

  • The provider: it has to be Hers
  • The lender: it has to be Affirm
  • The cash flow: the amount due today has to be as low as possible

You cannot optimize all three at once. Find yourself in the row that matches the non-negotiable.

Which GLP-1 programs actually take Affirm?

TrimRx and Yucca Health publicly display Affirm among their payment options, while Hers publicly documents Klarna instead. TrimRx and Yucca primarily offer compounded GLP-1 programs, which are not FDA-approved and must not be presented as interchangeable with Hers' FDA-approved brand options.1920221

We need to draw one line clearly before you look at this table.

Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. They are not FDA-approved generic drugs and should not be described as interchangeable with an FDA-approved product. FDA says compounded drugs should be used only when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug, subject to the conditions in federal and state law.21

FDA-approved means the finished product went through FDA review for specific indications. Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo are FDA-approved for chronic weight management in eligible patients. Ozempic — including the current Ozempic tablet — and Mounjaro are FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and related labeled uses, not weight loss; Hers says those options are available only to patients who meet clinical eligibility criteria.422239

They are not the same category, and any page that blurs them is doing you a disservice.

Provider-published commercial facts verified August 3, 2026. Offers, checkout eligibility, commitment terms, and BNPL relationships can change. A provider displaying a lender does not guarantee approval for a particular patient or purchase.1920

Read this before you pick TrimRx

We feature TrimRx because it publicly displays Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay and says there is no separate membership fee. That's a real advantage over the two-charge structure you just read about.19

But we're not going to hide the commitment behind the headline: the current $174 figure is advertised for a six-month GLP-1 plan. Compare the full six-month purchase, the amount due at checkout, the lender's total repayment, renewal terms, and refund rules — not only the monthly equivalent.

Read this before you pick Yucca

Yucca publicly shows Affirm and Klarna and publishes a $125-per-month equivalent on a six-month semaglutide plan, which means $750 total before any lender interest or other checkout changes. The month-to-month semaglutide price is currently $146.20

The $125 number is not a promise that Affirm will turn it into six $125 payments. The lender determines the down payment, schedule, APR, and approval. Yucca says it has licensed providers in all 50 states, but that does not prove every treatment, pharmacy route, or lender option is available to every reader in every state.

When “cheaper” ends up costing more

Run the math, not the monthly payment.

A lower advertised monthly equivalent financed at a high APR can cost more than a higher cash price paid without interest. The commitment length matters too: six months at a lower monthly figure can still require more total cash than one month at a higher figure.

Compare cash price, amount due today, interest, total repayment, renewal, and cancellation. The calculator above should show all six.

When you don't need Affirm — you need a lower underlying price

Worth asking yourself honestly: is Affirm the requirement, or is the requirement a smaller monthly number?

When the second answer is true, financing may be the wrong tool. Compare lower-cost cash-pay programs on the full price, medication category, pharmacy and sourcing disclosures, state availability, clinical support, and cancellation terms. A lower underlying price can remove the loan, interest, and lender calendar entirely.

What real customers say about Hers billing

Multiple public customer posts show confusion about whether a monthly-looking price equals the amount charged that day and why the membership and medication can produce similar charges. These are individual accounts, not proof of how often a problem occurs. We include them because they expose the exact disclosures a reader needs before checkout.1267

We looked hard for a real, attributable testimonial about financing a Hers plan. We could not find one, and we're not going to write a fake one. So here's what we found instead — all of it verifiable.

On the amount due today. One public r/HersWeightloss post was titled “Im confused and frustrated” after the customer selected what appeared to be a month-to-month option and then received a fraud alert for a larger attempted charge.12

On the two charges. Another customer posted “Charged for subscription AND meds????” and wrote, “This does not look right at all.” The official Hers pricing structure confirms that membership and medication are separate, which explains how two legitimate obligations can appear — but the specific customer's charge still required account-level confirmation.64

On the $149 wording. A third customer asked, “Does the $149 include the meds?” That is the exact question Hers' pricing footnote answers: the membership and medication are separate.74

Three different people. One underlying problem: the monthly-looking number, the amount due today, and the complete program cost are not automatically the same thing.

On the federal allegations. The FTC's July 2026 complaint includes a consumer allegation that a card was charged immediately despite an expectation that no charge would occur before a provider conversation. The company disputes the complaint. A consumer quote in a pending complaint is not a court finding, but it reinforces why the amount due and approval sequence must be visible before submission.1718

One more piece of evidence, and it's part of the reason this page exists. The Hims & Hers general payment article showed 53 helpful votes out of 200 ratings, while the newer Klarna article showed zero helpful votes out of one rating when we checked. The information exists, but it is fragmented across separate support pages.12

These are individual public comments about billing, not verified medical outcomes and not evidence that every customer has the same experience.

How we verified this page

We reviewed Hims & Hers' first-party payment, financing, pricing, billing, pharmacy, and cancellation documentation; recorded update dates; graded each payment route by evidence strength; checked Affirm's current card disclosures; verified FDA status from FDA sources; and read the pending FTC case materials and Hims & Hers response. We did not treat lender directories or provider logos alone as proof that every plan works at checkout.

Our source order

  1. Hims & Hers official help center, pricing, FAQ, terms, and cancellation pages
  2. FDA approvals and prescribing information for medication-status claims
  3. Affirm's and Klarna's first-party financing disclosures
  4. FTC case materials and the company's direct response
  5. Provider-published pages for alternative commercial facts
  6. Public customer comments — for language and friction only, never as medical, safety, or regulatory evidence

📦 What we actually verified

Confirmed from first-party sources on August 3, 2026:

  • ✅ Accepted card networks — Hims & Hers help center, updated September 19, 2025
  • ✅ Klarna partnership, monthly financing through WebBank, and eligible-plan limit — help center article updated June 18, 2026
  • ✅ No Affirm option named in the Hims & Hers payment documents reviewed
  • ✅ Membership price: $39 first month, $149/month after
  • ✅ Current public medication price ladder: ten listings across $149, $199, $299, and $1,899 tiers
  • ✅ Medication is billed separately, monthly or upfront depending on plan
  • ✅ Membership and Hers Medication Plan are separate auto-renewing subscriptions
  • ✅ Some medication billing and fulfillment can occur directly through Gifthealth
  • ✅ Canceling membership ends an active Medication Plan; canceling only medication leaves membership active
  • ✅ Canceling Gifthealth medication does not automatically cancel membership
  • ✅ 48-hour/two-day cancellation instruction, limits on stopping processing or shipped orders, and the warning that renewals may process early
  • ✅ Weight Loss Membership is not insurance; Hims & Hers and the Medical Groups are not enrolled with federal, state, or commercial payers for these services, while outside providers, pharmacies, or labs may have separate enrollment
  • ✅ FDA indication distinction: Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo for chronic weight management; Ozempic and Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and related labeled uses
  • ✅ FTC complaint date, participating governments, court, allegations, vote, and pending status
  • ✅ Hims & Hers' denial and stated intent to defend
  • ✅ Affirm Card and one-time virtual card run on Visa; each physical-card purchase requires a separate pay-over-time application
  • ✅ TrimRx and Yucca provider-stated Affirm evidence and current published pricing details used in the alternatives table

Not verified — we're telling you rather than guessing:

  • ⚠️ Which Hers charge Klarna applies to and whether one application can cover more than one transaction
  • ⚠️ Which treatment plans, states, doses, and billing intervals are Klarna-eligible
  • ⚠️ Whether Klarna remains attached to later Hers or Gifthealth renewals
  • ⚠️ Whether an Affirm Card or one-time virtual card clears Hers checkout
  • ⚠️ Whether any successful Affirm Card purchase would be financed rather than paid in full
  • ⚠️ Whether payment options vary by state
  • ⚠️ Whether Zip functions at Hers checkout despite its directory listing
  • ⚠️ The exact payment selector, line-item allocation, and amount due today for a specific reader

What we did not do

We did not assume Visa compatibility means Affirm acceptance. We did not treat financing approval as medical approval. We did not use customer comments as medical evidence. We did not call compounded medication generic or interchangeable with an FDA-approved drug. We did not rank providers by commission alone. And we did not add a medical reviewer to this page, because no clinician reviewed it — this is a payment and billing analysis, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.

Frequently asked questions

Does Hers accept Affirm?

No direct Affirm option appears in the Hims & Hers payment documentation we reviewed. Hers accepts major cards and offers Klarna monthly financing when the selected treatment plan is eligible.12

Does Hers take Affirm for Wegovy?

No direct Affirm option is documented for Wegovy or another Hers treatment. Check whether Klarna appears after the selected treatment plan is found eligible.

Does Hers have payment plans?

Yes. Hers publicly documents Klarna monthly financing through WebBank on eligible treatment plans. It does not publish a list of eligible plans.2

Does Hers accept Klarna?

Yes, when the selected treatment plan is eligible. Klarna still has to approve the application, and the reader should review the checkout terms before completing the purchase.2

Is Klarna at Hers interest-free?

Do not assume it is. Hers' public article describes monthly financing and does not document Pay in 4. The APR and total repayment depend on the option shown in the actual checkout and lender agreement.

Does Hers accept Afterpay?

Afterpay is not listed in the Hims & Hers payment documentation we reviewed. A live checkout could change, so the accurate wording is not publicly listed, not “impossible forever.”

Does Hers accept Zip?

We found no first-party Hers evidence of a Zip integration. A Zip merchant-directory listing or virtual-card route is not the same as Hers placing Zip in checkout.

Can I use an Affirm Card at Hers?

It may process as Visa, but we could not verify it at Hers checkout. Affirm says every Affirm Card purchase needs its own pay-over-time application, and an unapproved purchase may be paid in full from the linked account.3

Can I use an Affirm virtual card for a Hers subscription?

A one-time virtual card may process an eligible first purchase, but it is not a reliable reusable credential for future membership or medication renewals. Do not make it the only payment method supporting ongoing treatment.

Can membership and medication be financed together?

Hers does not publicly say whether Klarna covers the membership, medication, or both, and it does not say whether one application covers separate transactions. Confirm the line item and amount inside checkout.

Does the $149 Hers membership include medication?

No. The $149 ongoing membership and medication are separate charges. The membership costs $39 in the first month and auto-renews at $149 after that.54

Why do I see two $149 charges from Hers?

The membership renews at $149, and four current medication listings start at $149. One charge may be membership and the other medication, but confirm both descriptors, orders, receipts, and any Gifthealth billing before accepting or disputing them.48

How much is Hers in the first month?

At the lowest current listed medication tier, the derived first month is from $188: $39 membership plus medication from $149. At the current $1,899 medication listings, the derived first month is $1,938. The amount due that day can differ when medication is billed upfront rather than monthly.45

How much is Hers after the first month?

The derived ongoing total starts at $298 a month: $149 membership plus medication from $149. Current $299 medication listings produce $448, while current $1,899 medication listings produce $2,048 with membership.4

Does Hers charge monthly or upfront?

The membership renews monthly. Hers says medication can be billed monthly or upfront depending on the plan, so a monthly-looking medication price does not prove the full amount will be charged monthly.5

Does Hers take insurance?

Hers' Weight Loss Membership is not insurance, and its terms say Hims & Hers and the Medical Groups are not enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial payers for these services. Some outside providers, pharmacies, or labs may have separate enrollment, but products and services accessed through the platform typically are not covered benefits. Check coverage through an insurance-supported route before committing to full cash pay.8

Does Hers accept HSA or FSA cards?

A direct FSA/HSA card payment may require extra steps. Hers recommends paying with a valid credit or debit card and submitting the receipt for reimbursement; eligibility and coverage vary by plan.5

How do I cancel Hers?

Act at least 48 hours before the next order or billing date. Canceling membership also ends an active Hers Medication Plan, while canceling only the Medication Plan leaves membership active. A Gifthealth medication subscription may require separate cancellation.1658

Does canceling Hers cancel my Klarna payments?

Not automatically. A lender balance changes only after an applicable merchant refund is approved, received, and applied. Follow the lender schedule until the lender confirms the adjustment.

Does Klarna approval mean Hers will prescribe medication?

No. Financing approval and clinical eligibility are separate decisions. A prescription is never guaranteed.

Will using Klarna hurt my credit?

Klarna says its eligibility check is a soft inquiry that does not affect the score. It also says loan and repayment data may be shared with TransUnion and Experian, so repayment behavior can matter. Read the specific agreement shown for the plan.24

Can Hers process a renewal before the date I expect?

Yes. Hers' terms say a first renewal may be charged early to prevent a treatment interruption and that later renewal charges or shipments may occur up to two days early for holidays or operational reasons. Use the processing date shown in the account — not only the calendar date you remember — when setting a cancellation reminder.8

Is Hers available in every state?

No. Hers says its GLP-1 services are not available in all 50 states. Availability is determined during intake.4

Does Hims accept Affirm?

Hims uses the same shared payment support documentation: major cards and Klarna on eligible plans, with no direct Affirm option listed in the documents reviewed. → Does Hims accept Affirm?

Where can I compare every kind of GLP-1 payment plan?

Use the broader payment-plan guide for monthly subscriptions, multi-month commitments, BNPL, HSA/FSA, and insurance-supported paths. → Compare GLP-1 provider payment plans

Compare medication category, cash price, amount financed, commitment length, total repayment, and cancellation terms — not only the monthly payment. → GLP-1 programs that accept Affirm

The bottom line

Choose Hers because you want Hers — not because you're hoping Affirm will work.

When you want FDA-approved Wegovy or Zepbound, understand every separate charge, and see an acceptable card or eligible Klarna path, Hers can be a solid choice. You now know the real cost range, the two-charge structure, the Gifthealth wrinkle, the cancel-by rule, the limits of an Affirm Card workaround, and what the FTC has alleged in a pending case. That's more than almost anyone walks into checkout knowing.

When Affirm is the hard requirement, go where Affirm is publicly documented. And when the real need is a smaller monthly number rather than a particular lender, compare lower cash prices before borrowing anything.

One last thing, because we've watched people get this backwards: check your insurance first. A few minutes there can be worth more than any payment plan on this page.
