Most Rex MD weight loss reviews end at “is it legit?” That's the easy question. Yes, it's legit — Rex MD is owned by LifeMD, Inc., a company traded on the Nasdaq under LFMD, and Rex MD says it is LegitScript certified.

Here's the answer you actually came for. Rex MD's current Wegovy pill page publishes a starting price of $349 a month for FDA-approved Wegovy tablets and says that price includes the medicine and provider care. The page also says it locks that cost across the 1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and 25 mg titration doses. Rex MD's FAQ says the weight program does not accept insurance; a separate footer mentions a third-party pharmacy benefit check but does not say it applies to this $349 pill offer.

Three things change that answer fast. If eligible commercial insurance covers Wegovy, the drugmaker's savings offer can bring the medicine copay as low as $25 a month under its terms. If you have Medicare Part D and meet the federal Bridge rules, a covered one-month Wegovy pill or pen fill costs $50. And if you already have a prescriber and just need the pill, NovoCare Pharmacy publishes $149 to $299 cash prices, depending on dose.

But there's a number buried in Rex MD's own contract that matters more than any of those. It's not a price. It decides whether this goes smoothly for you or ends with a charge you didn't expect — and it is easy to miss in a normal provider review.

The one thing we'll tell you upfront that Rex MD's ads won't

Rex MD's FAQ says its weight program does not accept insurance. A separate footer on the broader weight page says a third-party pharmacy partner may run a benefit check and cites a $0–$25 average approved copay through Rex MD and partners. Those statements do not explain whether that applies to the current $349 Wegovy tablet offer. Treat the $349 offer as cash-pay unless checkout or support confirms plan billing in writing. If your plan covers a brand-name GLP-1 and you need someone to handle prior authorization — the approval form your insurer may require before it pays — Ro may be the better door. Ro offers a coverage checker and an insurance team for selected covered medicines. Its Wegovy pill route is cash-pay, so check which covered medicine your plan would actually approve.

But here's what the published cash-pay route gets in exchange: it removes the insurer's wait. No prior authorization, denial letter, or appeal for that cash purchase. Clinician review, requests for more history or labs, and pharmacy processing can still take time. You see the published $349 offer, you pay the confirmed total, and the page says the same tablet-program cost holds when you reach 25 mg in month four and after.

For a lot of people, that certainty is worth more than a maybe. That's who this program is built for.

How much does Rex MD weight loss actually cost?

Answer capsule: Rex MD publishes three different prices on three different pages. Its current Wegovy pill page lists a starting price of $349 per month, including medication and provider care, and says the cost is locked across the 1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and 25 mg tablet doses. A separate Rex MD program page says the program starts at $75 with medication priced separately. An older May 2024 support article says $199 per month. The $349 bundle is the offer on Rex MD's current Wegovy pill page.

Let's clear up the confusion first, because it changes the budget.

Why you'll see $75 and $349 for the same program

We checked three Rex MD sources on August 14, 2026. They give three different prices.

These are not the same offer. But if you saw $75 and budgeted $75 total, you're going to be surprised.

Here's the plain-English version: $75 is the program's starting price, not the complete drug-inclusive total. The page says medication costs extra based on the brand, dose, and access route. The current Wegovy pill page publishes a starting price of $349 for its medicine-and-care bundle. Plan around the complete number shown at checkout, not the smallest number on a different page.

What the $349 covers

• The medical intake form
• Provider review and prescription, if you qualify
• The Wegovy pill itself
• Shipping; Rex MD says prescriptions typically process for 3–5 business days before overnight shipment
• Ongoing provider care

What the $349 page does not promise: insurance billing or coverage for another Rex MD product. The separate FAQ says the weight program does not accept insurance, while a broader-page footer mentions a benefit check without tying it to this offer.

The published dose-price lock is the best part of the offer

This is genuinely the strongest thing Rex MD has going. The page publishes $349 at the starting dose and says it locks the same cost through the 25 mg titration dose.

Why that matters: Wegovy tablets step up over your first three months, and at the drugmaker's own pharmacy, the standard cash price steps up with them. Rex MD's published bundle does not.

What the same pill costs at two doors across four dose steps

Here's the comparison that turns scattered prices into a usable decision. We put Rex MD's published flat price against the published prices from NovoCare Pharmacy — Novo Nordisk's direct-to-patient pharmacy — for the identical finished drug.

The medicine is the same in every row. Same manufacturer, same FDA-approved tablet. The service is not the same: Rex MD includes provider care; NovoCare fills a prescription but does not write one.

Your total over 3, 6, and 12 months

This is our own calculation, using the dose schedule in Wegovy's FDA label and NovoCare's published standard prices.

Calculation assumptions: 30 days at 1.5 mg, then 30 days at 4 mg, then 30 days at 9 mg, followed by 25 mg; NovoCare's standard $199 price for 4 mg after the temporary promotion; no added prescriber fee, tax, or price change.

Read that difference correctly. It is not proof of a markup. NovoCare fills prescriptions — it does not write them. You still need a licensed prescriber, and Rex MD's price includes one. The honest question isn't “which is cheaper?” It's:

What does a prescriber cost me, and what do I get for it?

If you have a regular doctor who will write the prescription, going direct saves around $850 a year under these assumptions and you already have the prescribing part. If you don't, you're paying somebody for that prescription and follow-up either way.

One thing worth knowing about Rex MD's own price comparisons

Rex MD's broader program page compares itself to competitors. Those comparison numbers are out of date — and the errors happen to make Rex MD look better.

We're not claiming anyone did this on purpose. Pages go stale. But you're being asked to compare against numbers that aren't current, so do your own math.

Is Rex MD legit for weight loss?

Answer capsule: Rex MD is a real telehealth brand owned by LifeMD, Inc. (Nasdaq: LFMD), and Rex MD states that it is LegitScript certified. Its Better Business Bureau rating is B− with 47 complaints filed over three years, 30 closed in the past 12 months, and no BBB accreditation. The visible complaint record is most useful for spotting billing, renewal, cancellation, delivery, and service patterns — not judging whether a medicine is medically right for you.

Yes, it's a real company. Here's the evidence, and here's where it stops.

Who actually owns Rex MD

Rex MD is a brand of LifeMD, Inc., a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq under ticker LFMD. LifeMD was formerly called Conversion Labs. Its SEC filings describe Rex MD as a men's telehealth platform operated alongside affiliated licensed provider groups.

Why ownership matters: public ownership gives you SEC filings, an exchange listing, a corporate address, and a traceable parent. That's a meaningfully different risk profile from an anonymous website selling injections.

What its BBB file actually shows

We pulled it directly on August 14, 2026.

• Rating: B−
• Not BBB accredited
• 47 complaints filed in the last three years, 30 closed in the past 12 months
• Complaint types: Product issues (15), Service or repair issues (12), Delivery (9), Sales and advertising (7), Billing (4)
• BBB lists two reasons for the grade: complaint volume and the time the business has taken to respond to complaints

Several health articles still quote older BBB grades or counts. We checked the live profile. It's a B− with 47 complaints as of August 14, 2026. Ratings and counts move; old articles don't.

What the 47 complaints are really about

We read the visible record. One pattern runs through many of the published complaints:

A charge, shipment, or renewal the person says they didn't expect.

That is not proof that every complaint is right, and BBB itself says complaint details are consumer reports rather than facts it independently verifies. But the pattern tells you exactly what to watch for: the renewal term, the next charge date, the cancellation method, and written proof.

Do people actually get their money back?

Both directions, honestly. In recent published complaints and Rex MD's written responses:

• Refunds Rex MD reported issuing: $1,440, $336, $114.75, $229.50, $360, and $60
• A refund Rex MD denied: $248.40 on a six-month renewal example
• A separate chargeback: Rex MD said a $230 disputed charge had already been returned through the customer's card issuer, so it did not issue another refund

What that means for you: ask in writing. Escalating a documented billing dispute to the BBB or your card issuer is a real option, but neither route guarantees a refund. Give the exact dates, the offer you saw, the cancellation proof you have, and what you want fixed.

So is Rex MD a scam?

No. It has identifiable ownership, published legal terms, an operating support line, affiliated licensed clinicians, and thousands of independent reviews. That's not what a scam looks like.

The realistic risks here aren't an imaginary company or a fake brand-name pill. They're misunderstanding the price, missing a renewal date, and not knowing how to cancel. Those are the three things this page exists to fix.

What weight loss medicine does Rex MD actually prescribe?

Answer capsule: Rex MD's current weight loss landing page is built around the Wegovy pill — FDA-approved oral semaglutide taken once daily — with the weekly Wegovy pen also offered. A broader Rex MD page lists Zepbound (tirzepatide), Saxenda (liraglutide), compounded GLP-1 options, and a three-drug oral backup. Which treatment you're offered depends on your health history, state, availability, and the clinician's decision.

Is it real Wegovy, or a knockoff?

It's real. The pill Rex MD advertises is FDA-approved Wegovy made by Novo Nordisk, and its landing page says it is delivered through Rex MD and NovoCare.

Two things it is not:

• It is not Rybelsus. Rybelsus is a different oral semaglutide tablet approved for type 2 diabetes, not chronic weight management.
• It is not compounded. A compounded drug is made for a patient under compounding rules. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and FDA does not review them before marketing for safety, effectiveness, or quality. FDA says compounded drugs should only be used when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug.

⚠️ One thing to ask about. A separate Rex MD page still says the company “can prescribe compounded versions of GLP-1 medications, if appropriate.” The current Wegovy page promotes brand-name Wegovy. We could not confirm whether compounded GLP-1 options are still active. If you're offered anything other than brand-name Wegovy, stop and ask for the exact drug name, dose, form, and dispensing pharmacy before you agree.

The Wegovy pill dose schedule

Straight from the current FDA label. Your provider may delay a dose increase when side effects are not tolerable.

How you actually take it

This part surprises people, and it's the biggest reason the pill isn't automatically “easier” than the shot. Per the FDA label:

• Take it in the morning, on an empty stomach
• With no more than 4 ounces of plain water
• Do not split, crush, or chew it — swallow it whole
• Then wait at least 30 minutes before you eat, drink anything else, or take any other oral medicine

That's a daily routine, every day, before coffee. Some people find it effortless. Some people hate it.

Pill or pen — which should you pick?

Neither is better across the board. The pill isn't risk-free because there's no needle. Both forms contain semaglutide and carry the drug's major warnings. Pick the routine you'll actually follow, and let the clinician weigh in.

What if you don't qualify for a GLP-1?

Rex MD offers a backup it calls Triple Therapy — three older oral medicines taken together: metformin, bupropion, and topiramate.

Be clear-eyed about what this is. Rex MD's page calls it “doctor-trusted.” Its own fine print says these medicines may be prescribed off-label for weight loss. Off-label prescribing is legal, but that three-drug plan is not an FDA-approved finished weight-loss product in the way Wegovy is. You should know which plan you're being handed and what each medicine adds.

How hard is it to cancel Rex MD? (The thing we said to come back for)

Answer capsule: Rex MD's Terms say automatic-renewal orders “must be cancelled within (12) hours of the renewal subscription date” to avoid shipment and charges. The wording is too unclear to use as a last-minute grace period. Every customer can cancel by phone at (866) 294-3772. The Terms also list portal and email cancellation for California and New York customers, plus select Vermont customers whose initial subscription is one year or longer. Under the Terms, prescription medications are not eligible for return or refund.

Here it is. The number that matters more than the price.

Twelve hours.

That's the clause in Rex MD's contract, last updated May 22, 2026. The Terms tie it to the renewal date, but they do not clearly say whether the order must be cancelled before that date, within a certain clock window, or by a certain time zone.

Do not treat it as a safe 12-hour grace period. Cancel days early.

The full picture, from the contract

There's also a wrinkle worth flagging: Rex MD's FAQ has described cancelling by phone, email, or the patient portal without the same state limits. The Terms are the safer rule to plan around. Assume phone unless Rex MD gives you another method in writing for your account.

Why this is still possible under federal law

Here's context most reviews leave out.

The FTC adopted a national “click to cancel” rule in 2024 that would have required a simple cancellation method for many recurring subscriptions. A federal appeals court vacated that rule on July 8, 2025. The FTC then recodified the older Negative Option Rule, effective February 12, 2026.

So there is no nationwide FTC rule currently in force that guarantees every Rex MD customer can cancel online just because enrollment happened online. State law may give you added rights, but the safe practical move is still the same: follow the method in your account and Terms, act early, and keep proof.

The charge that blindsides people

We found something in Rex MD's own written responses to the BBB that explains why the next charge can feel random.

The renewal timing follows the subscription supply term shown in the account — not one universal monthly calendar date.

* Rex MD's posted BBB response appears to use 2025 for the January renewal and delivery even though the surrounding dates make 2026 the only logical year. We corrected the obvious date typo here.

Read that again. The bigger the supply term, the longer the silence before the next charge. Buy six months, forget about it, and get hit in January by something you set up in July. That is why the date shown in your account matters more than guessing from your last charge.

One complainant said he was billed at 4:56 p.m. on the renewal day. Rex MD's customer-service reply, quoted in the complaint, referred to cancellation “before 12 pm the day the order is billed.” He said he was not told about the new order until after that time. Rex MD later refunded a separate double-billed amount but stood by the renewal terms.

Exactly how to cancel, step by step

1. Find the renewal date in your account or confirmation before you call.
2. Call (866) 294-3772, Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Eastern. Call days early, not hours. The 12-hour clause is not your plan.
3. Ask them to confirm three things: subscription cancelled, no future shipment, no future charge.
4. Get it in writing. Email or text. A recent BBB complainant had a cancellation text; Rex MD later reported a $114.75 refund.
5. Screenshot your account status.
6. Write down the date, time, and representative's name.
7. Check your statement after the old renewal date. Look for “REX MD 866-294-3772” or “REX Wellness.”
8. If you believe you're charged in error: ask for a refund in writing, use the company's complaint channel, and contact your card issuer promptly. Give exact facts and documents.

The arbitration opt-out hiding in section 22

Rex MD's Terms include mandatory arbitration and a class-action waiver — standard language across many subscription businesses. But section 22 lets you opt out by giving written notice within 30 days of first accessing the site.

It is easy to miss. To keep your right to pursue a covered claim outside that arbitration clause, read section 22 and send the written notice on time. Save proof that it was sent.

Does Rex MD take insurance, HSA, FSA, or Medicare?

Medicare is separate: eligible Medicare Part D members who meet the federal Bridge rules can receive covered Wegovy tablet or pen fills for $50 per month through December 31, 2027. Medicare enrollment alone does not make someone eligible.

This is where people lose the most money, so read this even if you skim everything else.

Same company, two front doors

Here's something Rex MD tells you itself, buried in an FAQ.

Its parent company, LifeMD, does accept insurance for qualifying patients. Rex MD's page says so and links there directly. The same Rex MD page also has a footer saying a third-party pharmacy partner may run a benefit check and citing a $0–$25 average approved copay through Rex MD and partners.

Same corporation. Two clear statements that do not fully match. LifeMD is the explicit insurance route. Rex MD's footer is not enough to build a budget around because it does not say which offer, drug, pharmacy, or patients it covers. For the $349 Wegovy tablet offer, assume cash-pay until checkout or support confirms insurance billing in writing.

Run the numbers before you assume you're not covered

The commercial $25 figure is a drugmaker savings-card minimum for eligible commercially insured patients under the offer terms, not a promise that every plan covers Wegovy or that care has no other cost.

That's a gap of up to $3,888 a year between Rex MD's published cash price and a $25 copay. Even a modest chance of coverage makes checking worth it.

Ro offers a GLP-1 coverage checker and an insurance team that can handle prior-authorization work for selected covered medicines. That is the work Rex MD's FAQ does not promise for the $349 cash-pay offer. Ro also offers cash-pay brand routes. Its Wegovy pill program is cash-pay, so the checker may point you toward a different covered medicine rather than make the pill itself an insurance product.

Ro's published membership pricing: $39 for the first month, then $149/month on the monthly plan or as low as $74/month with the annual plan paid upfront. Medication is separate. Ro publishes the same standard Wegovy tablet cash prices by dose — $149, $199, and $299 — with the temporary 4 mg promotion noted earlier.

Can you use an HSA or FSA?

Rex MD's current Wegovy page is labeled HSA/FSA eligible. Two practical notes:

• Paying with the card and getting reimbursed later are different problems. Your plan administrator may require an itemized receipt with the date of service, the medicine name, and other records.
• Ask Rex MD for an itemized receipt before you need it, not after.

On Medicare? Stop and read this.

Eligible Medicare Part D members pay $50 for a covered 28- or 30-day fill of the Wegovy pill or pen through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The program runs from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027.

You need all of this:

• Eligible Medicare Part D coverage through a standalone drug plan or a Medicare health plan that includes drug coverage; certain special plan types do not qualify unless you also have a standalone Part D plan
• No GLP-1 already paid for by your Medicare drug plan
• No type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, or fatty liver disease; Medicare says to use the ordinary Part D route because a plan may already cover a GLP-1 for one of those conditions
• Age 18 or older and one published clinical pathway: BMI of at least 35; BMI of at least 30 plus specified heart failure, hard-to-control high blood pressure, or stage 3a-or-higher chronic kidney disease; or BMI of at least 27 plus prediabetes, a prior heart attack or stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease
• A prescriber who sends the prescription and completes the prior-authorization request after the pharmacy sends it

The Bridge is not “$50 for everyone on Medicare.” It is a specific federal route with plan-type, diagnosis, age, BMI, and clinical rules. Use the ordinary Part D route when your plan already pays for a GLP-1.

Paying $349 cash when you qualify for $50 is a $3,588 difference per year. We earn nothing from telling you this.

Rex MD weight loss reviews: what do customers actually say?

Answer capsule: Rex MD's public review signals do not collapse into one clean score. Trustpilot shows 5,248 reviews and displays 4.7 near the top while its TrustScore image says 4.5 out of 5. The Better Business Bureau lists a B−, no accreditation, and 47 complaints in three years. Most public reviews cover Rex MD's services broadly, not its weight program alone, so they are more useful for judging billing, shipping, and support than medical results.

Search this brand and you'll find high stars, low stars, old grades, and current grades. They are not measuring the same thing. We checked each source instead of averaging them into a fake universal score.

The review-source audit

The finding that explains the mess

We went through the first displayed page of Rex MD's reviews.io profile one item at a time on August 14, 2026.

Seventeen of the first twenty displayed items were unrelated, duplicated, or obvious “asset recovery” spam. Several promoted supposed recovery firms or reused the same language. Only three clearly described Rex MD.

That does not let us calculate what Rex MD's clean reviews.io score would be. It does tell us the headline 2.3 should not be treated as a clean measure of Rex MD customers until the profile is moderated.

We're telling you this even though it makes Rex MD look better. That's the point. If we only published the numbers that supported our angle, you'd have no reason to believe anything else on this page.

Three real reviews, in their own words

The good:

“After a painless questionnaire everything worked out great.” — Dan D., review displayed on rexmd.com. Rex MD's site states that featured patients were compensated for testimonials.

The service win:

“…every business should take a class from them.” — Trustpilot reviewer, describing help with cancelling a prescription. The page labels it an unprompted review.

The warning:

“I feel I was mislead…” — Wayne J. G., reviewer on reviews.io. He described a second $60 shipment, a notice arriving after shipment, and no prescription return option.

What these tell you and what they don't. They're useful for judging support, billing, and shipping. They are not evidence that the medicine will work for you, that results are typical, or that treatment is right for your health history. No customer review can tell you that.

Who is Rex MD right for — and who should skip it?

Answer capsule: Rex MD fits cash-pay adults who want FDA-approved brand-name Wegovy, prefer one published monthly number, and expect to stay on treatment long enough to reach the 25 mg tablet dose, where the medicine-only price gap versus NovoCare narrows to about $50 per month. It is a poor fit for people with useful insurance coverage, Medicare members who qualify for the Bridge, and anyone who will not accept phone as the universal cancellation route.

Is Rex MD only for men?

Rex MD is built and marketed as a men's health brand. One of its weight pages is titled “Weight Management Program for Men,” and its surrounding services include erectile dysfunction, testosterone, and hair loss.

We found no public sex-based enrollment rule on the current Wegovy landing page. That is not the same as confirmed eligibility for women.

For women: ask Rex MD support before entering a card. Hers is built for women, while Ro and Sesame serve broader patient groups. Treatment availability still depends on medical eligibility and state rules.

How does the Rex MD program actually work?

Answer capsule: Rex MD's process is an online health intake, review by an affiliated licensed clinician, then a prescription and pharmacy shipment when treatment is appropriate. Rex MD says GLP-1 prescriptions typically take 3–5 business days to process before overnight shipping. Approval and delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Five steps. No mystery.

1. You fill out the form. Health history, current medicines, weight, and goals.

Rex MD markets the intake as fast. Do not confuse fast with complete. List every medicine, allergy, diagnosis, past reaction, pregnancy plan, mental-health concern, and surgery or anesthesia date that could matter. Message the clinician when the form does not give you room to explain something important.

2. An affiliated licensed clinician reviews it. Rex MD does not itself practice medicine — its Terms say healthcare is provided through participating licensed professionals. The clinician can approve, decline, or ask for more information. Rex MD's broader $75 page also says lab work may be required when recent tests are not available.

3. You confirm the plan. This is your moment. Before you agree, get the medicine name, form, starting dose, total charge, supply length, renewal date, and next charge amount.

• Pancreas inflammation — severe stomach pain that will not go away
• Gallbladder problems, including gallstones
• Dehydration leading to kidney problems — especially after vomiting or diarrhea that does not stop
• Severe stomach or bowel problems — Wegovy is not recommended for severe gastroparesis, a serious delay in stomach emptying
• Low blood sugar, especially with insulin or a sulfonylurea
• Serious allergic reactions — swelling of the face or throat or trouble breathing
• Vision complications in people with type 2 diabetes
• Faster resting heart rate
• Food entering the lungs during anesthesia or deep sedation — tell every surgical and anesthesia provider that you take Wegovy
• Pregnancy — stop Wegovy at least two months before a planned pregnancy

A safety-page mismatch we found

Rex MD's broader weight page still lists “suicidal thoughts or behaviors” among severe GLP-1 side effects. The current FDA Wegovy label records that the suicidal behavior and ideation warning was removed in February 2026 after FDA review.

That means it is no longer a labeled Wegovy warning. It does not mean a new or dangerous mental-health symptom should be ignored. Tell a clinician about anything concerning.

Do not let a needle-free pill make this feel smaller than it is. It's a prescription drug with a boxed warning, contraindications, and serious risks.

What that table actually tells you

They are close, but Ro's first $39 month still counts. Rex MD is $4,188 for 12 treatment months. Ro requires $39 for month one and then an $888 annual prepayment, so cash paid during the first 12 treatment months is $4,265 under standard tablet pricing — $77 more. That Ro prepayment also keeps the membership active through month 13.

Which means the choice still is not mainly about the $77 gap. It is about what you need:

• Rex MD wins on simplicity. One published number. Medicine and care together. Same stated tablet-program cost at every dose.
• Ro wins on flexibility. Coverage help, a lower month-to-month first month under standard 1.5 mg pricing, and more brand-name routes. The Wegovy pill itself is cash-pay on Ro.
