# GLP-1 “Same-Day” Claim Decoder

**Print this before you pay. No email or personal health information is needed.**

A speed claim is useful only when you know where its clock starts and stops.

## The six stages

1. **Intake:** You open and submit the form.
2. **Clinician decision:** A clinician reviews the completed information and approves, denies, or asks for more.
3. **Prescription:** The prescription is issued and sent.
4. **Pharmacy:** The pharmacy verifies, fills, compounds, or prepares it.
5. **Pickup or delivery:** It is released for pickup or handed to a carrier and reaches you.
6. **First dose:** You check the drug, strength, label, storage, and instructions before use.

> **“Same-day prescription” describes Stage 3. It does not promise same-day pharmacy work, pickup, delivery, or first dose.**

## Ask these seven questions

- [ ] **1. When does your clock start?** When I open the form, submit it, finish a visit, or reach a clinician?
- [ ] **2. What exact event stops the clock?** Review, approval, prescription, pharmacy release, shipment, delivery, or first dose?
- [ ] **3. Is this for a new prescription or a refill?**
- [ ] **4. Is this cash-pay or insurance?** Does prior authorization sit inside or outside the claim?
- [ ] **5. Are these calendar days or business days?**
- [ ] **6. Does it depend on my ZIP code, local stock, a weekday cutoff, or a refrigeration rule?**
- [ ] **7. What happens if the clinician, pharmacy, or insurer needs more information?**

## Before entering a card

- [ ] Is this a temporary hold or a real charge?
- [ ] Does approval automatically create an order?
- [ ] Can I see the exact drug, strength, pharmacy, and total price before shipment?
- [ ] Does the program renew automatically?
- [ ] What is the cancellation cutoff?
- [ ] What happens to my money if no prescription is issued?
- [ ] Are shipping, needles, syringes, labs, and follow-up included?

## If your order is stuck

Ask: **“Which stage is my order in right now — clinician review, coverage, pharmacy, checkout, or shipping?”**

Then ask: **“What exact event has to happen before it moves to the next stage?”**

## Safety checks when the box arrives

- [ ] The pharmacy on the label exists and has an active license.
- [ ] The label matches what the clinician prescribed.
- [ ] The package is sealed, undamaged, and in date.
- [ ] A pharmacist phone number is listed.
- [ ] A refrigerated injectable did not arrive warm or without adequate refrigeration.

**Planning tool only.** This checklist does not decide eligibility, recommend a drug or dose, replace a clinician, or promise a delivery date.
